I reading, The Invention of Air, by Steven Johnson. It’s a historical look at Joseph Priestly–a contemporary of Benjamin Franklin. One thing early in the book that strikes me, is the communal learning that Priestly engaged in. He was part of a group known as, The Honest Whigs. This group got together to discuss well, everything and to eat and drink. Perfect.
