I went to a local salad joint for dinner. As I walked in, I read a make-shift sign that read: “Free Internet from 2 to 8 pm.”

What?

Free for six hours. Gee, I’m glad this place isn’t in charge of doling out air.

I’m sure there is some (ridiculous) reason why the Internet can’t be free at lunch. But, this is a mistake. Everyone knows this place makes its money at lunch. There were like three people in the restaurant at dinner time. So who cares that you can have free internet at a time that you don’t want to be in the store. The irony is that, I’m sure, the manager of the store thinks this is a great “service.” It’s not. If you want to please customers–please them on their terms, not yours.
